Once upon a time I wanted to drive a truck so badly that I could taste it. I wanted to drive OTR to all 48 states and Canada. I would have been more than happy to drive dry vans, reefers, hoppers, tankers, or flatbeds.

As mentioned in the past, I am NOT able to pass a D.O.T. physical. As a result, I am NOT legally allowed to drive trucks, buses, limousines, or taxicabs. Some states have limousines and taxicabs under their state versions of D.O.T..

I have never married and never had any children. I live in an apartment that I can be away from for long periods of time.
SADLY & UNFORTUNATELY, both of my parents passed away some time ago. I no longer have parental eldercare responsibilities. Back then, I was NOT able to be out and about, and rightfully so. Responsibilities came first.
By the GRACE OF GOD, I have never been arrested for or convicted of any crimes at all.

If I could have passed the D.O.T. physical, I would have been out and about driving the nations highways. I TRULY & GENUINELY feel that I would have enjoyed the heck out of it. I have felt this way for a number of years after both of my parents passed away.

I guess that it just wasn't in the cards for me to drive professionally. It is what it is.

I am currently 62, will be 63 this year. In another 4+ years, I will be able to retire, collecting full Social Security retirement benefits, along with retirement benefits from my I.R.A., 401(K) plan, and a monthly annuity from an insurance policy.

For all current and future truck drivers, drive safely and the absolute best of luck to all of you and your families.

God bless every American and their families! God bless the U.S.A.!

Get a nice small motor home. Go do the traveling you have longed to do. The plus side is you can actually stop in Thermopolis, Wy and see the worlds largest mineral hot spring, or go up to Rock City, Tn instead of just looking at the billboard as you go by on a schedule everyone but you dictates. It is too bad you couldnt live your dream. But, just make the best of a modified new one.

I’d much rather do this in an RV.
