Well whats loose @stwik Actual fifth wheel jaws or slider. As humble said if its a holland, fontaine pretty easy. Some non adjustable Fontaine, Simplex maybe more and I don't know about Jost. If you run the trailer landing gear down and get most the weight off then you can make small adjustments hooking and un-hooking till it feels well. If you ever have a chance grab up a wrist pin from a Big cam Cummins. Very close on diameter and use it in place of a king pin when setting it up without trailer. Been meaning to weld a handle and stop on this for years.

Hey thank, never worked on a Jost. -
Seen them, but never worked on them either. To much money for me. Like the weight savings. 50k Holland has been my go to.
Worked for a shop manager once that would send us to the goody yard to get 5th wheels and check them for level. Then rebuild them. Welding the forks up. Now you can imagine what he was saving. Later we R+Red them. He had been fired and company wanted nothing to do with rebuilding them. However they were heavy haulers and not in the legal sense. I know Holland recommends welding the fork, but the time spent kills you. -
Dang it. You need a better camera. lol
I was wrong.
