Bill will be in Pittston in a couple weeks to orient. Anything out of the ordinary he should know? Is the hotel ok? Do they feed him? Oh and this is a big one, while he is waiting for a truck, does he have to check out of the hotel every day and haul all his gear to the terminal to sit all day? Not that he wants to lounge around the hotel all day but his recruiter told him he would not have to do that-so just curious. Does anyone know if the average wait for trucks is a long time? When he was at Celadon, he signed up to be a local driver while he was waiting so he didn't have to just sit there-anyone know if Prime does the same thing?? Thank you very much for any info!!!! I just got accepted yesterday. Bus ticket is all set. I leave for Springfield, MO monday late afternoon, and arrive there Tuesday afternoon. 20hr 55min bus ride... eghh. BUT small price to pay for a good job. I'm very excited to not only get in but be able to do this at their Millennium Building. Ill try to update as much as i can. I'g going to start a blog too so if anyone is interested in how their orientation and driver training goes, here is a resource for you. I obviously wont be able to go into certain details as I'm sure as with most companies, some stuff is considered confidential.
