GTS has a large uphill battle to establish themselves in the Foodgrade Tanker industry. Most competitor companies are gunning for them and most experienced drivers have returned to their former companies after it became clear that pay is well below what's promised. The two tone blue trucks look cute but are poorly spec'ed, cameras all over it, all automatic, and heavy idle and speed restricted. Consider better options than GTS(GUARENTEED TRANSPORT SERVICE).

As for the last few months, I average $1200 a week. I've been stuck with all the dairy loads that got me stuck in the northeast and midwest sitting at shippers and customers.

When I started at GTS this time last year and all the way up till Feb this year, my checks were between $1500 - $1800 a week gross with the odd $2000 here and there when i went out west.

The company was for most part good to me, (except the trucks being spec'd to crap) until recently.

I'll give a some what in depth overview of the company

A good portion of the drivers and staff (Tony, Amy, Vick, Rick, Bob, and Bill off the top of my head) come from Indian River.

Trucks are all 2018-20 Pete 579s with 10 speed autos with 80' sleepers governed at 65 pedal 68 cruise
All trucks have Bendex that beep at ya if you're 1.5 truck lengths from the vehicle in front of ya.
There are 3 cameras on the trucks, 1 facing forward and 1 on each hood mirrors. (they only record during a critical events)
Trucks number 1001 - 1093 dont have APU, but have storage space above the sleeper bed. They can not idle between 45 - 70 degrees and will turn off after 5mins if the accel pedal isnt pressed.
Trucks 1094 and above have APUs but no storage above the sleeper bed. These can not idle for more than 5mins at any temp! even -30 below!

The trailers are mostly 2018-20 Walkers with chicken lights on the back of them
    No pumps and no hoses!
Its 99% no touch with the odd opening the dome lid and dropping the trailer in the bay here and there.

Pay is 48cpm with a 2 cent safety bonus paid out quarterly (no tickets or bad inspections)
Percentage on the loads 300 miles or less
Detention is a laughable $10hr after 4 hours!!!
$100 layovers (get used to it)
They do pay for motels and breakdown pay when your truck is in the shop (also get used to it)
Benefits are around $25 for medical, $5 vision, $7 dental if i remember correctly for a single. Not sure on the family plan

We haul mostly juices and dairy with some oils here and there.
The average load is around 1200 miles.
There are coast to coast loads, but they're given out once in a while (if the dispatchers like you)
We run all 48 and expect to go into Canada in the near future.
Most drivers are OTR but there are some Midwest Regional and Northeast Regional guys.
For OTR expect 2 weeks out minimum with 1 day home for each week out (capped at 6)

Overall I enjoyed my time at GTS the first 8 months I've been here. Had tons of loads to keep me busy.
I averaged over 3000 miles a week and kept running my 70 out in 6 days lol
Now I can't run my clock out even if I tried. :(
The dispatchers there are awesome, though there can be some communication issues between them.

My biggest complaint about the company are the #### trucks!
Vick did a terrible job at specin them and I suspect it was to cut costs.
I can't count the number of times i got into a fit over my truck!
I had 2 trucks and my first one was constantly in the shop for ecu software issues.
I've heard plenty of other drivers having similar issues.

Would I recommend them? Not yet. I'd wait until they iron out their issues with the trucks and let them catch up with getting more loads for the drivers as they growing too fast as a company.

I'd recommend ya go to Caledonia Haulers if you dont mind running a bunch Midwest and Northeast, since thats what you'll be doing a GTS o_O

    Gbc and xlsdraw Thank this.
