I don't know where you are, but where I live, there's a couple of equipment rental places, and they deliver, like Dominos, only more expensive. Google it wherever you are.
Bakerman Thanks this. -
Another thought and maybe cheaper:
Check craigslist for people selling forklifts. They're selling because they need the money so maybe you can convince one to do a little work for less than what a commercial operation might charge.
Good Luck.Farmerbob1 Thanks this. -
Selling because they need the money. lol
Any equipment rental will take care of you, transporting is a huge cost of it, so the closest one may be your best bet.
I backed up on some ice in a truckstop parking lot once, the trailer tandems were over what was a fairly deep pot hole and the ice busted through during the night. I was very effectively stuck. I could see could see a wrecker from my truck, just across the exit from me. He wanted 800 bucks or some such thing to pull me 5 feet, so I walked a block down the road and rented a big john deere tractor and pulled it out myself.Dadetrucking305 and sirjeff Thank this. -
i'm not looking to buy , just someone to transfer the load , i dont think the driver has forklift license

Rigging and crane companies. Most will do it.
Maybe also listed as machinery movers. -
his trailer messed up the axel and can't move , he's at some truck stop in TN

Can't chain it up and limp to someplace near?

Look for a mom n pop type independent rental place, they may be willing to rent a forklift and driver.
