    Question
I had steel sheets load with tarps requirements, did not have another type of requirement, on my way to the delivery was raining, when they loaded me, in their warehouse they had a rusted product, they loaded me the same product, I tarp everything as required so when I delivered the product was rusty and wet now they are charging me to pay an amount of money because the condition of the delivered, but the RC confirmation never said something different to Must be Tarp. they are charging me to pay an amount of money because of the condition of the delivered product,

I'm no expert but pics are worth 1000 words. CYA and take pics of it being loaded next time for proof.

A bill of lading is a legally binding document. When you sign them you are agreeing you rechecked the product in good condition and the count is correct. Doesn't matter if it was in good condition, you signed for it stating you recieved in in good condition. Next time take pictures, read the fine print, etc etc. This is a business not a hobby. Be a businessman.

Even as a company driver u need to be taking pics of every single load. Showing your securement. The product and the tarp on the load.. Pictures are time stamped when u take them... If u are an owner op this should be a no brainer

You can take pictures or write "rusty" on the BOL.
_When in doubt call the consignee before you leave._ Sometimes they don't even care if it's rusty or tell you not to tarp it anyway, sometimes they are really strict.
