WHAT A MISTAKE. Not only does the company completely misrepresent themselves by claiming no smoke only truth about trucking they are a very non driver friendly company. Thier equipment is junk not just the trucks but trailiers as well, their safety department is about nothing more than intimidation . I drove with this company for 13 days and got nothing but lies and and threats. The 3rd day out I got a phone call from thier safety department and boy was that one of the rudest people I have ever encountered. A 15 minute speel about how if you do this you be terminated if you don't do that you will be terminated. Basically the entire conversation was one side and every sentence was "OR you will be terminated.

The truck assigned was junk. The fuel guage did not operate and when I advised the shop they said yeah well we just didn't get around to it.
Now this is a company that says concerned for drivers and good equipment, well wait it gets better. Upon dispatch discover the following day the A/C system does'nt operate. Called in to Granger terminal and told well whenever you can get by here will fix it. Never saw the terminal.

A few days later encountered a driving rain storm ony to discover the windsheild has water pouring on to the dash and floor board which shorted out my electronics. After the storm checked windshield and their idea of a repair was duct tape across the top of windshield. Remember this is the way the truck was given to me at the terminal after quote it had been prepped.

The trailers well the only thing I can honestly say about them is that the maintainence was non-exsistent. It basically took a sledge hammer to get the landing gear up, the grease on the landing gear was so hard it was falling off in chunks.

Well the saga continues. Finally made it back home and thought it over and decided that this was not the company for me.
In all of my 25 years of driving I have never worked for a company such as this.

I was charged fuel fee $50.00 for returning their truck to the terminal,
$85.00 truck prep fee (remember the condition of truck upon recpt).
Then I was informed that the orientintation bonus was to be returned,
and out of $1000.00 pay check I ended up with $150.00 by the time they were done.

The condition of the truck was even more intolerable. The drive seat was
a seat the you would find in a day cab short haul. No convertor and a idle policy of 30%. I was in freezing conditions in WISC. at about 14 degrees and I get messages to shut off truck. Yeah at 14 degree temps. Driver Friendly and driver safety supposed to be a the forfront of thier concerns what a crock.

If you are considering working for them just keep in mind the above. I would not do it unless you are just desperate for a job.

Some drivers say its a great company , all I can say is I have been out here for a longtime and never have I had such a negative, hateful experience in my life. THEY JUST DON"T CARE.

I'm sorry to hear about your misfortune,i have learned long ago to always take pictures no matter what.also you may want to check your dac report and see if they wrote any bad stuff about you before you apply for another job.i always talk to the drivers before i make any move to any company.sometimes the smaller companies are better run and dont have all the overhead of these bigger companies.good luck

I feel for you my husband has had the same problems at other places at least you have a 30% idle time my husbands truck shuts off if you try to idle I wish you luck with your next job hope you can find a better company. There is nothing worse then a bad safety department. My husband had a job where anything was listed as a preventable accident he was sleeping one night at the truck stop and a guy backed into his semi and the safety department put it down as a preventable accident guess he was suppose to sleep on the hood of the truck. I am beginning to think the days of good companies is gone.

there are some good companies out here you just have to do your homework.ask fellow drivers if they are happy with thier company, how they are treated.do some research ask them their turnover rate.not all are bad, there are some good companies till out here usually the smaller companies treat their drivers better.not as many trucks means less competition.ive heard of some descent companies.schilli specialized, conway truckload, millis just to name a few.its up to the fellow drivers to catch you before you make a big mistake after all we are all in this together right.anothe company to check into was knight transportation i drove for them until i got activated by the military to go to iraq.i left for personal reasons and even to this day the ask me if i may come back.they have good equipment and treated me with respect.they have a good report among most of the drivers i spoke too.freight is slow right now but it may be a good thing, bigger companies will fall to the waste side giving other companies a chance.companies can only get so big before they are bursting at the seams and then there is only one place to go is down.when i was driving i always carried a camera and a cell phone in case of truck stop accidents.call the police and get a report,i have never heard of a company charging a driver with an accident if he is in the sleeper birth.anytime anyone backs into something its always their fault.good luck and keep your chin up.

The good companys are still there but instead of being run by older drivers who have gotten off the road or started their own company, they are being managed by college business grads who would not know a semi if it ran over them. Instead of running on the theory that a happy driver is a productive driver, they run it on the theory that the drivers are as interchangeable as drive tires and can be replaced just as easily. I do think that it will swing back, its been going against drivers since at least the late '90s, some might even say earlier. But as long as drivers continue to allow themselves to be treated like dirt, then they will be treated like dirt. I know not everybody can afford to or are willing to take a stand and the companys take advantage of that

now the only sure cue for a bad company is buy your own truck, in 45 yrs i have never known a good company course i have my own trucks , i drove for a company not once but twice , that why i have my own trucks will not ever work for another one ill quit driving first and that aint gonna happen. thats the only way to get rid of a bad company is buy your own then you are the company.
    good luck to all.----------------------SOUTHERNPRIDE
