Think he doesn't have enough to worry about? "Tow hooks in, tow hooks out, no one really cares as they drive about".

    Lepton1 Thanks this.

Maybe you should look to see if they are bolted to the frame or removeable before you start calling people lazy. Mine were permanently attached with 3/4" bolts through the frame.

Rush hour(s) in NJ and NYC are problematic.

All well seasoned drivers who deal daily with NYC, long Island and north Jersey. The problem is the 28 languages NJ gives the driver's test in...should be only one...then the warehouse workers with fake SSN driving with MD or GA plates and no insurance going 20 MPH under the limit in the fast lane...

The company drivers we have do real well in this environment...now the daily Melee the port guys face is my real problem.....

every incident adds to the 'Experience Mod' a running list of the cost of all claims back for years and we are trending down from a $600K fatality so any additional, preventable cost is counter productive. Just trying to prevent a third needless incident...

I used to leave mine in. Nothing worse than getting stuck in a mud pit on a jobsite, and having to get your arms muddy trying to install the hooks after the fact.

    snowwy and Lepton1 Thank this.

    Amen brother!

What we really don't want is a toe hook...

    What does it matter...

Just mind your own business and move in down the road.

Are you saying that you think smacking the cars, would not have been classified as preventable, if there was no tow hooks installed?

    Lepton1 Thanks this.

NO. The 'incident' would have been a 'close call' instead of a punctured bumper cover...the hook er, volvo 'eye' is the only point of contact. Close calls happen daily; especially in this over crowded area. Sometimes I think NJ RT 1 and 130 can be worse than bumper to bumper on the cross bronx.....
