I use a Casio Exilem for digital. I love taking photos of trucks and anything that I think looks decent.

I have a Nikon D300 with a 50mm macro lens and a 17 - 200 zoom. I keep it with me but when I'm driving I have a little point and shoot, and if worse comes to worse I use my phone.

There's only one I love and I'll stick to it. The portable OLYMPUS STYLUS 1030 SW with 3.6x wide zoom. Lots of features including 'Panorama' shots. Stores about 1500 photos on 10.1 mega-pixel mode and 3 hours of video. Oh, did I mention the durability? It's also shock proof for about 3metre and water proof for about 5metre.
    Keep your cams snapping!!!!

I actually have my own photography business so I have quite a bit of gear, like plum crazy...

    I shoot all Nikon...
    2-D3's
an assortment of pro glass from 16 MM fisheye to 300 MM 2.8 AFS VR.

I try to never leave home without a camera.

For those that do carry some gear, get some insurance for it...
