Just got to thinking about dipping the dog lol. My great uncle was bad about pouring used motor oil right down our dogs back if they showed signs of fleas, anyone else remember their folks doing that? Lord they would make a mess of everything they got close to!!! Vehicles, house, out building, everything had oil marks from their rubbing around.

I'm kind of hoping I don't have to go back...Just looked on google maps, we got off 24, went across 123, then zig-zagged a little to 28. I was following another load and when the cop first stopped me, I quick started reading the permit to make sure I wasn't off route...Well naturally, the permit just STOPS at 24(WTF?)
I'm pretty sure he's some kind of local DOT guy(?) cuz he was just in a plain black car and he said he had stopped another precast load the day before nearby. We discussed securement a little;);) and he wanted more, although I felt I had enough...so I made him happy, and he let me go...

Next day, the boss is trying to give me a hard time, so I tell him I'm hoping if I screw up enough, maybe he won't make me do that anymore...I been trying to shy away from the oversize, if I'm only part-time-semi-retired, I just want to blend in with the crowd...not stand out from it...

I never heard of doing that but the old man next door when I was a kid used to pour used motor oil out near the garden. Claimed it helped produce better tomatoes.

All our back oilers for our cattle were filled with diesel fuel, never used anything else. That was standard operating procedure back then, probably not pc anymore. They rub on it,get all oiled up,mainly to keep the flies (grubworms) off. Cows didn't seem to mind, and I don't remember it ever causing any problems to them.
