I have heard you can make 6 figures driving a truck on the US bases in Afghanistan. I have tried to verify this by doing a Google search but I can’t get any hard numbers from the websites of the companies that operate there. Has anyone on TTR done this?

You can make six figures here...
and not have to worry about IEDs and LooLooLoos that are mad because you're there.
They don't care that you're a non-combatant.Texas_hwy_287, Opendeckin, mitmaks and 8 others Thank this. -
would you be the sacraficial lamb..????
with all the potholes, and morons and other daily obsticals here, why would you want to drive in an area where craters are in the road, and you become a target..???
don't you get enough excitment driving in the states..??? -
Google search...Fluor or KBR ..they are the two biggest contractors...Fluor pays more than KBR

In the old days soldiers cooked the food, drove the trucks, did all of the maintenance, etc., etc. DoD prefers to fill as many jobs overseas with contractors and leave soldier tasks just for soldiers.buddyd157 and Midnightrider909 Thank this. -

you will make six figures but there are no HOS regs over there. adjusted for hourly rate you will make more $ home in the states.
rabbiporkchop Thanks this. -
I never saw any American truck drivers when I was there, well, short of military and they definitely weren't getting 6 figures. Any contract work there will be netting you 6 figures though. It is more dangerous and they will work the #### out of you though.
Texas_hwy_287 Thanks this. -
