I got 2015 Volvo D13.and recently I noticed bubbles in coolant reservoir. Took it to Volvo dealers in San antonio TX.they just change filler cap and pressure cap and add coolant above max mark.
I see no bubbles after that.
I wonder if that was this easy to fix ,I was thinking about big jobs like injectors, egr cooler, head,or air compressor.
After they change caps I drive like 1600 miles with light load. Didn't see any bubbles but I see little coolant over flow from filler cap.
Now I'm confused if my problem fixed or not yet.also had air dryer purge every 10-12 mins now increase to 20 mins.
Pls give me ur views and if anybody had same problem.

bubbles and coolant puking from overflow is usually head gasket. Your air dryer purging has nothing to do with your motor issues. Your motor drives the air compressor and thats it

Hold up, I know nothing about how a volvo is set up, but a lot of freightliners had head gaskets changed because the heater valve for the sleeper was air controlled and put bubbles in the coolant.
It is possible that the air comp constantly running may have something to do with it, but like I said, I know nothing about a volvo.Rideandrepair Thanks this. -
Low pressure or no pressure in the cooling system can do Very Bad things over time.Last edited: Jun 14, 2019

Overfilling it will cause problems, fill it cold to cold level. Run a while at idle to get air out, Then it should be good. Cap it, it’s a closed system, level will fluctuate normally as needed for expansion, Hot level goes up, Park it and as it cools level will drop.If still losing AF or blowing out overflow, there’s a problem.
