You should have called dot if the truck was in that bad of shape from being vandalized, then at least you would have had dot to back you up on it, or took pictures to document everything,, you have to fight the bad info on your dac and try to get it removed.

What was unsafe with the truck? So should have asked if you can have the mechanic go over the tractor real quick to make sure it was in good operating order. Please tell me this isn't over a bad mattress? Looks like your driving career might be over.

Let me make sure of what you are saying here. You really didn't know what was unsafe with the truck because you didn't look. Granted we all don't like smells like that but you could have fixed that. You roll up the mattress place it in a plastic bad and throw it in the side box. You buy several rolls of paper towels along with a good scented spray clearner then go to work. You buy a cheap sleeping bag to sleep on or whatever you can find at a thrift store.

You would have needed to do a very good post-trip inspection for your pre-trip. Then you could have reported whatever was wrong with the truck to the company. Because, frankly, if you can not tell them what's wrong then you do need to be let go. Sorry but what is the company to know besides it stinks. (send another driver) Everytruck stinks to a driver somewhere. If you had solid OSS items or a damaged truck maybe you would have be sent to a shop for further investigation. You did it all wrong so now all you can do is live and learn and hope you can find another job. Good Luck.

 

Bowtiecartel36,, you havent given any info about what was so wrong with the truck when you got to it, it would be helpful to let us all know what was so wrong with the truck that you couldnt drive it, yet another driver did, then someone here wont be a smart aleck to you. Post what all was wrong with the truck.
