If you're set on working days, try for LTL city driver. That's what I do and I earn $75k home every night and off every weekend. I usually punch out around 1700-1730 everyday. If you want to make extra money on the weekends, most barns have a signup sheet where you can run weekend linehaul during the day.

I’m thinking about it for sure but since I only have 6 months experience I might only be able to do linehaul. I might just stick it out a solid year. I looked at Sysco but honestly I feel like that’s a lot of hard work. I rather go to old dominion or ups where I feel it’s worth it. Abf is good too but they are not near me and I heard
“YRC” (yellow) isn’t what it use to be. R&L carriers said they would let me do night line haul but I don’t like the fact I have to buy my own pallet jack. Definitely a turn off for me that a company would make me buy my own supplies to complete the job.LtlAnonymous Thanks this. -
Thanks brother for the insight but yeah I’m starting to see maybe UPS might not be the route I want to pursue if that’s the case. I hear people say it’s worth it but to me family time is more vital. I guess I will just invest in my own IRA and 401k before I’m completely miserable for 20 years lol. I also get va disability for life so hopefully I should be good there too. Cool man yeah I loved being a firefighter but once again the schedule sucked to me.Banker and LtlAnonymous Thank this.

Yeah I don’t mind working might line haul for a few years but definitely want the chance to do day time. I might just do p&d but only time will tell. Hey beggers can’t be choosy so I will take whatever I can get when the opportunity seems right and presents itselfLtlAnonymous Thanks this.
