It's pays by hour and is hard to get any overtime out of. And it is hard to do it under eight hours (we get paid for 8 hours if we finish under 8 hours).

 

Yes but I think you gotta work the dock for a while before they will consider it.

 

They can put you through their dock to driver program. You'll work dock (and jockey some maybe) for 3 months minimum (can go all the way up to a year depending on how many people in front of you) then go through their cdl school. If you come in with a cdl and no experience, they'll still put you through their school regardless.

 

Here in houston Estes starts school every 3 or 4 months so you wont have to wait long to get in to school.

 

Depends how many people are in front of you. Terminals can only send two people per school. Took them almost seven months to slot me in the school and I have a CDL already and been a jockey over a year. They do the school at my terminal too.

I’m at home lol Tuesday start now so we gone see what happens ran 480 Thursday night 630 Friday night 580 Saturday night came home this morning from Charlotte so I can leave out Tuesday night

 

I won’t be in the states until December but do you all think I should apply now it is still around 6 months before I am back.
Is there a way to put in for the dock to driver ahead of time. And what type of insurance and money as I work my way up.
Also anyone know what routes they run from Indy?
