I found few threads but still can’t figure this out.
I’m from south Florida but wants to rent an office and open my one man trucking company in a different state. I’ll be the only employee. I’m hearing it wouldn’t be legal? I don’t understand why, I’ll be running mostly NY—CA and back.
Can someone chime in?
Thanks.
I live in Florida but wants to open my Inc in a different state.

Before any one can answer you, why has to be answered.

I read some years back that some lending institutions did not like lending to Florida businesses because of some easy bankruptcy laws they have.

If you have incorporated in FL you can move to any State you want. Just pick one that does not have a State income tax. It is legal.

A lot of people around here use Delaware as a home base, for tax purposes, no income tax and no sales tax(as long as you do business outside the state), 300$ annual fee. Cheaper, like registration of trailers, Maine and Indiana come to mind. Check out ez-corp.org for LLC availiability.
