I'm with you Kimmi, there is a place on this trucking forum specifically for those that want to comment on politics so I say take them there and lets keep this thread as it was intended to be when Evertruckrr started it, about his adventures with Crete both on the professional side and his personal side thrown in to keep things interesting. Keep up the great postings Evertruckr!

Look what happens when et goes home! Sheesh! It'll be nice to get it back on topic!

For now, I am enjoying the different views on why freight is short and why it picks up when it does.

I agree this isn't the place for politics. Nevertheless, I couldn't let what in my opinion, was a reckless, Limbaugh fueled attack go unanswered. I didn't really expect my opinion to be very popular on this board! But hey, someone's got to present the other side.

    Keep on truckin!

As the others have said let's please keep it on the original topic. I'm sure if a thread was started regarding the political topic you all are discussing it could still be replied to. And I am quite sure the other person would respond to anything you'd post. Unless ET is running for president, let's talking about Crete and trucking. (smiling)

Remember, these radio hosts get paid the big bucks just for being so obstinate and anti-everything except their holy opionions. Should they ever back track and begin talking center-of-the-road issues their audiences would dwindle and they would lose their multi-million dollar salaries. In other words, they are paid lotgs and lots of money just to inflame as many listeners as they can.

Trucking is a blue-collar industry. The Republicans, especially including the wealthy radio hosts, are primarily rich white guys - certainly not an example of blue-collar. For example, how many blacks or women did we see at the Republican Convention? I believe the number was well below 10%.

I have to wonder what it is that attracts so many blue-collar drivers to this philosphy that everything not conservative is socialist, unpatriotic, and borderline communist. Gotta remember that this country would be oh-so-better off had W. not insisted on topping Daddy's war with one of his own, however, unjustified. Argue all you want, but where are the WMDs?

By the way, I met W. during his initial campaign, and have yet to meet or see a politician with less curiosity, intellect, and common sense. Had he stuck to a teleprompter more often both feet would not have been so far implanted in his mouth so often.

These opinions are fair and balanced. So there!

Did you deliver to Church and Dwight? Good chance your next load will come right of there. I'm not due to come back out till Fri but I am already worried that they will try to send me to E Pa or NJ.
