Should read his book, The guy would have won In a bath tub. You know he quit and dragged raced Ford's for some wins too and was good. Had a bad wreck, axle broke crashing into crowed killing a child. Something the man is still pained with today, and why he quit drag racing.

Yes I should. I was a Petty fan as a kid. Imagine how many more wins he would’ve had if they didn’t ban the Hemi and the Superbird. I remember his bad wreck on the fence but didn’t know he had a wreck drag racing. Didn’t even know he went drag racing. He is the GOAT in an era of greats

I been busy breakin' sheyt.......left drive chain broke on the skiddy.

FYI.... Don't try loading a one side drive skiddy in dump trailer with another skiddy pushing on the bucket "tryin" to hold ya straight. If ya do film it....we didn't.

 

@rank I recalled that wrong. He didnt quit mopar, He drag raced mopar. He stuck with them. Nascar banned the hemi, he went drag racing. Later raced fords. And everything else too.

 

I don’t remember him in a Ford....Ponchos....I remember that. Thought he quit Mopar and went to a Pontiac Gran Prix. Then again maybe it was Mopar that quit NASCAR....I don’t recall

 

Now he should do another, he has about 30 more years of stories since this.
