It's a challenge...every load is different, makes you think and you get out of the truck and do something. The places you deliver are different.....taking a load into Citi Field a month before it opens, hauling a load of the flooring for the Final Four..pretty neat. Normally, the shippers & receivers are happy to see you, and wait times at either are minimal. There is a satisfaction after strapping and tarping a load...you step back, look at it and go...####, that's nice.:biggrin_25525:

LOL yes it's true you can swing doors faster than we can fold tarps but it keeps us fit, we do get a certain pride in our securment/tarp job and after I finish I KNOW my load is staying put. I personally stand back everytime I tarp and look at it to make sure I got everything and nothings going to flap. A lot of flat bedders are pretty maticulous when it comes to load securement/tarping. I know I am.

I've been lucky to clear 2000 a week. ETCH is probably doing well because he's an HP driver. I was in his position before, but now that I'm on mileage it's a different story.

I don't think Roehl is terminating drivers over MPGs alone, but I am convinced they'll use those stats to determine how far to go in disciplinary action over other incidents.
