One of the bigger outfits down there is Terribles convience stores who i here have there own trucks. you could also check out jackson oil, pilot and flying j i would just google them to find a contact. It is a good time of year to be looking must tanker outfits hire in the spring before the summer rush. hope this helps.
Baack Thanks this. -
I've been retired for some time now from there but Terrible Herbst only had 2 trucks and IMO they are the worse company to work for. Besides that the drivers are personal friends of the owners and are there to stay. They did not do any of their local deliveries because they only had a couple of branded stores. The rest were Chevron and ARCO. The biggest is Rebel Oil and the boss is Toby unless he's retired. Your best bet would be Frederickson. You can also try Burns Brothers, Tri Valley, and Cool. But the only company that I know that hired without experience is Frederieckson.
Sorry there is no time frame for hiring except when more people visit LV. LV is a tourist town and there is no rush. I was the terminal Driver Trainer before I retired from there and also did the books. Believe it or not but Thanksgiving is the busiest time. It's a 4 day weekend for most and the town is paked. Rebel has it's office away from the pipeline as do Terrible. Most have offices out of town. In fact I don't think anyone has it's offices there except for Frederickson and their offices are on Sloan but not on the pipeline.
You can try Haycock but they have just a few trucks. The most companies with any number of trucks come out of Utah. Since all the sucurity now I doubt if you can get into the pipeline but that's where EVERYONE loads from. It's out by the Air Force base on Sloan ave. You can try and if you can't see anyone there you have to find a driver that's unloading and ask them.
If I were you I'd try Frederickson and if they don't hire maybe they will tell you who can. Just remember you're trying to enter a market where everyone knows each other and it's hard to get hired even in best of times. But don't stop looking, you never know. Good luck.Jnizle Thanks this.
