DART has automatics
-
This guy still job-hopping? Oh no I did NOT just say that. I mean.... getting his foot in the door at more companies? Wait... I just mean it's gonna take some legwork in this market.... oh dear...someone throw me a shovel!
-
Ok guys. I've gone done everything to find/get hired on by a trucking company that has automatics. Hell I EVEN MOVED MY LICENSE AND GOT HAZ-MAT IN TN. Since that seems to be a central point for every compnay who's hiring! ALL THIS I think for nothing. The companies who do have automatics, are paying .30 and the way freight is. thats not even $400 a week! Some how in my screwed up mind, I'd rather sit home and do nothing. cuz either way with that pay check nothing will be paid..
I've come to terms that I'm prolly going to have to buy a new truck or find a really good used truck since there are no companies hiring with decent pay and automatics which is fine with me.. just working out the #'s and so far it seems feasable... UGHH nothing like getting a little more knowledge on the road of life.... Thank you guys to all that have posted and given up company names that you know of to help me.. May the econnomy not reek too much havock in your life! -
Did you try U.S. Express? they have all automatics? not sure what the pay is
-
LOL U'###.. been there. got screwed out of $ in my paycheck more than just a few times. Been lie to more then ever. Hell I'd rather deal with CHR on a dialy baises then those F Jobs at usx! and now they don't even have freight. but yet they keep hiring people? Sad part was I tried their "general pop dispatch" and also was on a dedicated account. Either way it was piss poor! I'm sorry this turned more into a venting reply but thats how it was at usx.

Tyson Foods is supposedly going all Autos and Internationals...
-
I know in our area (suburban Philly,) the soda companies offer autos in their internationals, but the hours sucks, Ive heard. Dont know too much about the job, how physically demanding it is and all. Good luck.
-
First I'd like to say I was sorry to hear about the loss of your leg! If you can get past the fact that their trucks are governed to 64mph or less, Paschal Truck Lines in Murray, Ky runs ALL automatic trucks. (Freightliners and Internationals) Depending on your experience, the pay and benefits arent bad, and from talking with some of their drivers they are still getting pretty decent miles in spite of our wonderful economy. If nothing else, I figure they are worth looking into...Best of luck to you and hope to see you out on the road sometime.
