    Your steaks are well done.
The OM team needs to take you on one of those
“feel good team building your an asset to the company don’t you feel better that we did this at this nice hotel and paid for it” things

    Geeeez, typical mega sloppy training.
Did you cover the stoping on ramps, roadside or any other place that would generally be in the way of everyone else, only to pull out in front of them from a dead stop?

My wife thinks I’m a dippsxhitte. Does that count? LOL

Simple as I was going to work for another company and I told the truth about trying an edible (once and only once) on New Year’s Eve at midnight when it became legal in California. @Chinatown and everyone else let me know I was an idiot. I was never hired by the company so no repercussions. I’ve never failed a drug test...and too that point I’ve never ever done drugs. I’m an oddity in the surf community... a surfer who has never done drugs.

A lot of “better” companies wanted to hire me. Spotless 10yr MVR etc... I wanted to stay Western 10 and didn’t want to listen to a refer so I went and looked at bunch of places. I went to Western and sat in their new yard in Bloomington where all the drivers sit outside and just talked to people. I was a brand new driver and I liked the all the new tractors I saw and a couple of old to timers at Western chatted with me. A couple weeks later or so I was in a brand new tractor delivering my first load.

Everyone here said do 1 year. I listen to the people who seem to know what they’re doing. Anyone with any business acumen knows that. And here I am. Not sure I want to leave Western. All the people who complain seem to always complain and it’s always someone else’s fault. Not me. #####ing gets you no where in my world. Do the job. Accept that days and weeks can suck. Always do your best. Smile at people. Be professional and considerate and you can go far.

@Dave_in_AZ Well done. Even though you like AZ and such I’ve appreciated your posts.

Thanks @Opus. I was one of the guys that got made fun of when I got here. (Probably still do) But also to all the old timers... I also wanted to prove that someone who knows nothing about trucking only remains an idiot if they don’t try to learn. Not everyone is meant for this job. In my case I’m every dumb thread question you can imagine and one day I’ll be good at this job.

Let me add I’m a Liberal Democrat and all you right wing nut jobs aren’t as bad as I thought as long as we don’t talk religion or politics. :D

Was headed eastbound this AM, wind wasn’t that bad. Only saw one truck taking a nap.
Was in center divider and hammer lane, eastbound side. Already had tow rig onsite, should be gone by now.

That post was pure sarcasm, you know that.

Actually ended up working to WE for a while. They bought out the company I was working for at that time. It didn’t go well, moved on.
