Soooo Monday I'll be grabbing my next student. This will be a 1st for me, hes out of the Trenton school, and doesn't have his CDL yet like everyone else I've had from Richfield.....

Can anyone re-teach me how to do a proper by the book pre trip.....lmfao. Will have to take him to Ohio to test out for his CDL, again thats a 1st for me. Should be fun, definitely going to be interesting....uhhh blindside parallel yeahhhhh 4yrs since I did that ####...lol

Will have him for a month and then its Vacation time for me! Buddy and me are flying to Philly watching 2 Braves vs Phillies games there(hes a Braves fan). Then rent a car and go to DC watch a Nationals game and spend a day being a tourist there . From there drive up to Boston for a Sunday night ESPN Sox/Yanks game. We then drive to Cooperstown to visit MLB Hall of Fame and then over to Cleveland for an Indians game. Leave Cleveland backtrack to Pittsburgh and go to a Pirates game, and fly back home from Pittsburgh. Should be a fun and interesting 10 days!

 

That sounds like a killer vacation, enjoy that! For some reason I've been thinking we CDL test after the trainer's truck, we test before?

Ever been to the hall of fame? Pretty cool. Cooperstown is a nice place on a lake. Used to deliver there to a couple different spots when I was local too. Haven't been as a visitor in years.

 

You will get on trainers truck with your permit and then whenever he feels your ready to test out you guys will schedule the test and hopefully pass. Usually within couple weeks after gettn on trainers truck.

 

Haha yea I'm a diehard baseball fan as is my buddy. We've never been to any if the east coast stadiums so thought this could be a really good time.

Nope never been to Cooperstown really looking forward to tha . Im a baseball history/stat nerd so should be right up my alley. Sadly I prob can tell you more about MLB history than US history lol.

 

So besides having experience on a Bridgeport, do you have any other screw machine experience, Acme? Davenport? How about Swiss, Citizen, Star, Tsugami? Any CNC experience?

So after the much needed shower I feel so much better. Like I said no ones fault. I stopped for a bit today and opened up trailer doors to try and air it out. Just to damp outside. Lol it stunk so bad I even Fabreezed it. I probably should have let dispatch know, but I figured they probably would have said give it a shot anyway. So it is what it is.

 

Yea, on top of the manual machining I run a laser table and a Haas cnc. I write G code and dial in the old machines, it's kinda fun.
