The recruiter I spoke with seemed pretty honest about the pros and cons based on what I'm looking for. I'd be interested to hear from a TMC driver's point of view though. All the usual stuff; pay, home time, dispatch etc.
I'm particularly curious about the 2 weeks after orientation required to be out with a "trainer". Is this local stuff or team runs couped up in the truck together 24/7? She made it sound like this part is mandatory for all new hires regardless of experience. Might be a dealbreaker for me. I already know I'm not gonna like the guy!
Thank you for any insight you can give me.

I loaded at a steel mill the other day.. 3 bays and 3 trucks deep inside all tmc trucks. Most of them covered wagons and 1 flatbed.. I tell ya they are the slowest frickin ppl on the planet. The flatbed threw every single chain on his coil and straps before moving outside to tarp when the sign clearly say u need atleast 1 chain on coil before moving outside. Every single one of them did that and it really slows things up and is quite annoying when ur sitting behind them. I finally got my coil about 1.5 hours later threw the one chain on it that was required and moved outside to finish chaining and tarping so the guy behind me could get loaded.i was loaded and out the bay in 10 minutes.. But my guess with tmc It was probably company policy, i know tmc they always cross strap their shingles and do alot of other stuff that is a waste of time all because its company policy, i know they are pretty strict . they have nice trucks and pay well but it comes at a price of being under the watchful eye of management.not to mention most of their #### is east of i35 .. No thank you . i dont mind goin out there every once in awhile but i need to stay out west where there is less crazy ####s on the road

If you go to tmc be prepared to roll out on sunday and have your truck super duper clean. I think tmc will furnish you with a rag and shiny liquid to keep them rims shiny.
