Five months later, here with an update:
I stuck with the pneumatic and the truck. Posts fell off because I got into the routine operation of things and the weeks started to mesh together, I just got back at it after taking a three week vacation in December(that turned into four due to new years weather) and I've got to say that i've never felt better. Having a nice long reset like that did me so much good. Before I took the break my eyes were sunk, my hands acquired a perpetual dirt that never went away even with the best Gojo and I was seriously contemplating taking a $12/hr tire tech job at
    Loves.

I feel great and look forward to the rest of this year - Got to try and make it better than last. Went to Eureka Springs, AR for a few days, then toured through Oklahoma and Texas and lived it up with my fiance. Now i'm back at it.

The break wasnt just good for me, but the truck. New brakes and drums all around, a new driveline and some suspension repairs along with a nice PM. Truck is singing fine.

In the past five months me and that truck have been through it, man. Drivelines falling out, injector heads busting through the valve cover 3 hrs away from the yard.

One week, when I was heading to get pre-loaded on a sunday night and start the week, the bottom hose on the radiator busted and drained the radiator. That morning at 5am me and my boss tore out the old radiator and put in a new one in under an hour - only to find that the head was cracked. So we parked the truck and I ran in a temporary while he gathered parts. Tuesday night he called me over to the shop where he'd been working on it since 3pm that day. Fast forward to 4am, we finished replacing the head and putting the engine together. I got a few hours of sleep and started running for wednesday.

That, along with a bunch of other small problems that required my attention, such as faulty brakes, fuel lines busting, replacing 4inch hoses on the trailer and more has definitely made me a better trucker than I was a few months ago. I'm grateful even though it really sucked lol.

I enjoyed updating this thread and i'll get back to it over the next few weeks. As it stands i'm saving up cash and plan to buy a nice older Volvo in April. I'll upload a picture of it later. $10k is all I need to get it and I'm pinching every penny til I do.

Hope everyone had a happy holidays and a great new year.

Carrier bearing decided to bust a bolt on my way home to start my weekend. This cold, windy and depressing saturday morning was filled with a load of stress.

I had only got running for a few miles when the truck began to bag at top speed(70mph). I pulled over and found the scene pictured above. Had to dig out some wrenches, a lone bolt, that was at the very bottom of my toolbag and a hammer. I got it bolted back up, but it had spread out and wouldn't line up so it was quite the headache.

I drove on for about 2 miles and it bags again, the bolt had busted out. So I had to locate an Atwoods and get a few bolts to put on it. Was able to ease an hour out, back to the shop to shut down and start my brief weekend.

Hope noones had any problems on the roads, ice is bad here in Oklahoma.

You are the man. Happy to see that you have made it through learning and trucking to get where you are. Best of luck.
