If there's an online application on the websites; submit that before calling.
Then call and say, "I'm checking on my job application."

    Bud A. Thanks this.

If you are breathing some company will hire you. Also, think some will hire you if you ain't been dead over 72 hours.

Will do. I am also thinking about Navajo Express, but I need to wait until November. They need one year after any DOT reportable.

Bud A. and Chinatown Thank this.

Do the world a favor, and find employment that doesn't involve 80,000 lbs of rolling death. The world needs telemarketers too

The thing is my friend there is always another street to turn down and circle back . ive had to go as far as 40 miles out of route to find a road to get back on . its part of the gsme sometimes. I think u turns are just a bad idea all around and it looks like ur company believes the same thing

Swift drivers specialize in U turns. One time I sat and waited for the wrecker to pull one out of the ditch too. Note: When doing a U turn it is preferable to back up instead of trying to accelerate into the ditch. Also on two lane roads it doesn't work well.

Another possible solution would be this:
    1)
Take a break and get out of truck driving, and get a comparable paying job at a warehouse, loading and unloading trucks.
    2) Try to get a warehouse job in which you can be a yard jockey from time to time, to get the experience backing up from all angles and directions.
    3) In the mean time, keep up your CDL license, get all the required D.O.T. physicals, and take the absolute best care of your body with proper health & nutrition habits, exercise, and totally give up any potentially detrimental habits that you may have: smoking, drinking, bad diet, etc..
    4) Do all of the above for the next 10, maybe 11 years to REESTABLISH a 10+ year work history to take to another trucking company when the time comes.
    5) Be sure to save all of your W-2 forms for the next 10+ years as PROOF of your 10+ years of employment. Keep the original copies for your records, make copies for the trucking company employer you are applying to for a driving job, when the time comes.
    6) When driving your own personal vehicle, be extra cautious to avoid any tickets and accidents whatsoever.
    7) Try in the next 10+ years to get all debts and bills paid off, in general, totally clean up your credit file / credit history.
    8) In general, for the next 10+ years, do your darnest to totally stay out of trouble with the law, along with avoiding all bad company that can stir you in the wrong direction.

Good luck to you! God bless you and your entire family!

God bless every American and their families! God bless the U.S.A.!

Slowmover1, Chinatown and FlaSwampRat Thank this.
