I remember stepping up to an outdoor antenna. Papaw would spin the pole, I’d stand at the window and when Mamaw hollered “stop” I’d relay the message.
Good times.Nostalgic, Westbound23, Al. Roper and 22 others Thank this. -
Curtis Mathis.
Big freaking TV! Had good sound (back then). Thing sat on the floor and was big enough to be used for furniture. It’s funny cuz, if you had a stereo/record player, that too was so big that it counted as furniture.Nostalgic, Westbound23, Al. Roper and 18 others Thank this. -
We did a lot of work to get 3 or 4 channels didn't we!! Kids nowadays with there 500 channels! Like Bear said. A bucket of popcorn mom popped on the stove and everyone huddled around the TV. Kids don't got no idea what they're missing out on!!Nostalgic, Westbound23, Al. Roper and 18 others Thank this.

Ours I think was a zenith and when you lifted the top there was a record player underneath.Nostalgic, Westbound23, rank and 20 others Thank this.

Plum fancy. We had a Zenith but it wasn’t that big. But we did have this juke box looking thing in the corner. Had an 8-track player and record player, and had lights down the sides that lit with the music.Westbound23, Al. Roper, 1951 ford and 16 others Thank this.
