seems to be typical for a bunch of used ISX as once they get quite a bit of wear and them and you don't change the whole regeneration system..
See lot of those 2009-2011 prostars looking like steam generators going down the road.
especially on the buy Here pay Here placesRideandrepair Thanks this. -
Thanks for the reply, that being the case of the doser is bad will it still cause that issue?Rideandrepair and Goodysnap Thank this.

I can see the smoke thru my mirror, the exhaust is under the truck. The oil cooler is leaking regardless needs to be changed. Yes coolant about half a gallon every 3000 miles. I haven’t done any injector test other than run the cut off With the computer.Rideandrepair Thanks this.

There are tons of possibilities at this point.
First, your coolant consumption is not a good sign. The fact that you are actually seeing the smoke is bad clue number 2. I can tell you that the DPF is either broken and or missing due to the fact that the DPF should hold back the particles that cause the smoke. But you need a repair plan for correcting the engine issues before conquering the aftertreatment. The engine out smoke is likely what caused the DPF to be bad in the first place.
Drop the DPF and inspect. Pressure test the cooling system and pull the outlet of the EGR cooler would be my first visit. From there make repairs as needed and run the engine with the exhaust off to be sure of no smoke before reassembling new aftertreatment components. It is a possibility that the fuel doser is leaking but it would need to be tested. If you need a DPF just throw a new one on for reliability.
I'm sorry to be the bearer of bad news, but even though you had your engine rebuild it appears you are still in need of extensive repairs.Last edited: Jun 23, 2019

Same problems a friend of mine had, I think it was an 07, egr cooler leaking, doser injecting fuel Always. Smell of fuel constantly. He kept cleaning sensors weekly. Got a lot of info from Rauz on Utube. We finally figured out the egr cooler, I did a search and found some cheaper than dealer. Don’t know what happened with Doser, except that International wanted a bunch of money to fix it. If I remember correctly, it couldn’t be manually regenerate, only by dealer. He couldn’t give it away, probably still sitting in his backyard. Otherwise it was a very vice Truck. Too bad.

My mistake, I see you have a KW, that’s good hopefully it’s not as bad a situation as the International
