Grrr... If just ONE ####### thing would go right.
This load delivers in Charlotte late tomorrow morning. I was told to drop it here in Eden, which was great for me because a) no Charlotte and b) The miles will go on this week's check so I'll get my mileage bonus.
Well, I get to Eden, send in my macro 10. Then they tell me that I might as well run it out since they don't have anything. I'm livid. That's a lot of extra miles for nothing not to mention wrecking my mileage bonus since they changed the week to end at midnight tonight.
Now I have a question? Should I scan this as 2 loads just like it would've been if somebody else had taken it in? Or do I just suck it up as just one more annoyance that's cost me money the past couple of weeks? -
Misunderstood your post the first time around. All those type of jobs I've ever seen are 3 months minimum too. Some were more. I'm sure it would be an adventure but way too much time for me.
-
Disregard. I just had them dispatch me from Eden to Charlotte as a new load. That oughta do the trick.Steelersjunkie and JOHNQPUBLIC Thank this.

I can't win for losing. Head on down to the Kannapolis Pilot because it's tiny and I knew it would be full if I wanted too long. Get here, and the freaking laundromat is down. I desperately need to do laundry and this probably the only chance I'll have for awhile unless I want to sacrifice sleep.... And I don't. FML.
Btw have I mentioned lately how much I hate most Pilots? -
I hate Pilots / Flying J too. The worst major truck stop brand out there. Always dirty, dirty bathrooms, usually tight parking and those BS messages over the PA that repeat themselves every 5 minutes. I detest them. My recent fuel stops have all been one or the other this last week. I had not been inside one in weeks until recently because of that.
The only positive is I tried one of those new coffees that grind as they brew your individual cup. Really good. I usually make coffee in my truck and skip swill truck stop coffee but I'll pay money for that. -
I don't mind most Flying Js but there's very few Pilots out there that I actually enjoy. Yet I end up parking at a lot of them.
I make my coffee in the truck, too. I always get funny looks when I take my water jugs into a terminal to fill them up. In fact I can't remember the last time I bought coffee from a truck stop. But when I did, it was probably some of the Kona coffee from a Kwik Trip. PFJs coffee isn't half bad either, though. -
I do the same thing with my water jugs. Have coffee no matter where you are. I will sometimes stop somewhere mid drive and make a quick one and keep going.
Kwik Trip coffee is very good. Forgot all about them since I do not get to one very often. -
Good luck,
My daughter did the touring thing for 10 months in 17. She filled in while Britt Nicole’s regular touring drummer was out.
In the fall she literally lived on the bus. 10 of them on the bus. 37 shows in 42 nights.dwells40 Thanks this. -
Nice! The world needs more drummer chicks.dwells40 and Steelersjunkie Thank this.
