Ok drivers and all mmembers of this forum. How about a nice nylon satin jacket with a logo with your name on it or better yet your forum name embroidered on it. We could order and pay for our own,we all believe in this forum and want it to grow. Why not show it for safety and courtesy in our trade that we love. Just an idea, but I could imagine how that jacket would look and show how much we care about everybody in our profession and out. Extra profit goes into making and keeping this forum NUMBER ONE. we could find each other all over the countryside this way. Moderators have special logos to distinquish all they do for us.

    Socy Grad Thanks this.

Hmmm.... That's one way for the boss to make a little extra money to pay for that new server.

You should get a free one for the first reaction on my idea. I've been thinking of how to help the cause, a matching hat would be nice too. man,I got to go to sleep,my new boss man going to register my truck tomorrow, going back to reefer work but its gonna pay me what its worth to do it, When we can all work out the colors and designs i think its a great idea. maybe have input from everybody, i'd love to hear and see what cybergirl would do,shes a great designer and artist. i would like to see the girls get their own special colors and us guys a different color. Man that would be cool. I'm always wondering how often we see and talk to each other and wonder if they are in this forum.

Thanks Kcorey. I'm sure she has some good ideas on designs. I used to know a guy in ma. that designed the mail contract jacket I have,he did all the high school jackets and colleges around ma.,i lost track of him, don't know if he is even still around anymore. You give him a picture of your truck and logo and the computer did the rest. He would do 2 or 3 jackets and designs and you pick the one you like best. He was in ma.,now I'm in me. or I would go see him there.

Great ideas, lets not them die and make em come to life, keep contributing your ideas, maybe we can get this thing off the ground. I checked with my company of over 20 years ago and they told me the fella has since retired that made those beautiful jackets for them. presently they haven't got a vender that does them.

I know of a site that has a store with their logo on cards, bumper stickers, all sorts of witty sayings and that is how she supports her site....the site is really full of whiney women but the idea is a sound one.....kids t-shirts, book bags, everything you can think of....lots of different trucker related sayings too...good idea/thoughts here guys/gals, hope it takes off.

Thanks gal,I knew I could count on you and wiseone and the others there. I would be proud to advertise this site on my shiny new jacket. All you women here have such great designs in your call names also. I"m sure if you can lookup and find a silkscreen jacket designer he or she would make up a sample with the logo and info you give them. I imagine they will shoot a sample nout for all of us to see for free, then we could purchase them with an understood 10.00 surcharge going to keep this site up and running. If we can get big enough the more people will recognize us as safety and great trucking promoters. Like I said before everytime I see or talk to another driver I let them know about this site but haven't as yet met any members in person. It would be a great asset for newbees to walk right up to us and not be nervous about asking us anything out in their domain. I could meet the seniors out there also. I really like that yellow pete on truckers report, bobtail on a jacket because that would cover, flats, dumps, tanks and most of the rest. Yellow pete with a black shiny nylon jacket would look really sharp, or maybe the good schneider drivers would want to put orange trucks on theirs with all having the same truckers report logo and name or call sign, I imagine the designer can put that persons truck on the same jacket, like boilermakers dump trucks, paperboys dump truck, the jackets would still promote the web site. I would still choose the yellow pete and black background for myself as that would be the best original idea to have. I'll let you all decide if we can do it and what type and logo. Like i said,my contract mail jacket is over 20 yrs old, nylon, shiny black, red letters and a red mack on the back with harry on the front. Still my favorite jacket, except for the mack.thks again all of you in truckersville, usa.

Thanks for the ideas, Buck! We are looking into this now and kc0rey is hot on the case...we will ONLY do it if we can do it right...NO junk, MUST be classy is what I would want! Let's see what he can come up with... I DID try some shirts from CafePress once and their printing process is JUNK, so we'll be better going some other different route...

BTW, Buck, I truly appreciate your enthusiasm and support! Those like you are the ones who will MAKE a difference to truckers all over! Apathy is rampant, and it does my heart good to see those who are ACTIVISTS. We THINK we can make this idea work, so stay tuned!

    :)
