Got a sweet little Monday run set up. Droff off in the am, reload at 1:30 and drive alllll they way to Houston for a next day drop off.
Of course I don't run like that, so I'll be at my pick up at about 10am, hopefully schmooze 'em a little, get loaded before lunch and get the loaf off the trailer before 5pm and be ready to load Tues AM.Feedman, Westbound23, Al. Roper and 4 others Thank this. -

Not really an issue with the lines. The hydraulics get really slow but I've never froze up. And you gotta be careful where you drive. I had some pretty cool pics on my old phone. One guy got hung up on Railroad tracks and busted his fifth wheel and a train came along and solved the dilemma! Another guy drove down in a kind of valley of a drive way and ripped the back bottom deck car and all completely off a high rail.SL3406, Feedman, Westbound23 and 13 others Thank this.

Haven't had a horn button stick, yet.... The funniest air horn adventure I witnessed was a new guy running hot with his foot covering the button. He was so nervous, and his leg was shaking so bad, we went toot, toot, toot, toot for almost a mile before the captain got him to move his foot back.
Now, we have a foot button to change the siren tone, a foot button to run the mechanical wind up siren and the air horn is controlled by the city horn button in the steering wheel.
We've had new guys grabbing something off the dash and hitting the siren switch a few times over the years. That always makes for some fun times.
