Thanks CaptainCanuck and WahWah. My post was made almost 2 years ago and just as an fyi in that time I did obtain my Class A CDL here in Wisconsin (found a very affordable program at a community college, 10-weeks, full-time). I'm actually having some conversations recently with some of the oil/gas mining companies in Sask and Alberta that work what's called a 'flex' schedule where you work for 14 days straight and then have 7 days off. Mind you, for those 14 days you're putting in 16 hour days, but nevertheless it's an interesting option. I will keep the other/carrier options in mind as I move forward as well. Thanks again!

    Hi,

Yap, i show many truckers Schneider has a large terminal at exit 299 of highway 401, about 40 miles west of Toronto. Since you are a Canadian citizen, you might also inquire to some of the Canadian carriers that run a lot of cross border. Arnold Brothers and Erb come to mind with operations in Winnipeg.

That Schneider OC is in Guelph, ON...god, I'm glad I'll never see that place again. (nothing against Canada, just too much hassle and wasted time...rush hour around Toronto and Montreal is worse than any in the US)
