I've decided to go back to school for the time being. So for now it'll keep collecting dust...but I will have it to fall back on if I need it.

Oh geeze, man that is too bad. There seems to come a time in life when we all finally realize that we actually are mortal. It can be a tough thing to reconcile yourself to.

Well, for one, we need more detail; If they sent a wrecker to your house for their truck, then there is definitely more to the story-------shoot!

Yeah, I think I'd like to hear more details myself. Seems to me something was going on that caused them to send out a recovery team. That doesn't happen every time someone takes home time.

it does when they want you back on the road early and you say no im taking my time off,im having to deal with the same thing as above right now.i worked for marten, stayed out for 4 months with no time off had to come home for a week cause the wife needed me home for doc appt.3 days into home time i kept getting quallcom messages asking where i was"they knew a month in advance i set to be home that week".then some other guy called me not my dispatch asking me where i was.i told them at home for the week for doc appt.he said i need you to run this hot load.i said nope 2 days later the truck was gone.i did not quit i did not do anything wrong i was a hard worker they ###### me good.im guessing it may have been due to me telling them the junk truck i was in needed repair.this happened 2 weeks after they had me sitting up in modovi for a week while they were"working" on my truck.a week later everything that was wrong with it was still wrong with it.

i just found out about my dac 5 days ago and it's complete bs.all it says is unauth location with notice.what my front yard on my week off after running my ### off for 4 months str8.wow

btw the things that were wrong on my truck were things i would have been put out of service for.i fought them for 3 months or so trying to get the things fixed.i kept sending messages saying hey im in ta for the day waiting on a load can i go get this stuff fixed? atleast some of the things like widshield wiper motors and such.they kept telling me no because next load we have for you will be going through 1 of our other yards.2 yards later "they could'nt fix some of the problems btw"so they route me to mondovi.complete bs i say.

Here lies the question, should Truckers have rights too ? Or is it just one sided with a double standard. I say they should and this is the problem with trucking----> Driver abuse. While that dispatcher and the office folks live in their cushy home life style the trucker is expected to live less than a decent social life and he is the one with all the responsibility laid on the table with no rights. As much as I dislike Unions, they came into existence because of worker abuse. Trucking companies should be required to get a driver home at least once a month. If they don`t they ain`t worth a *^&%##%&*&. Plain and simple and should be held accountable for worker abuse. I followed all the rules myself but I can fully understand the frustration of truck drivers and the abuse they take sometimes. Someone needs to step up to the plate to represent Truck Drivers. Isn`t it about time ?
