Not a joke at all. Guys are job skipping year to year to use sign on bonuses as income.

That said, they deserved it since their 'up to'numbers always included the sign on bonus as part of the their gross income that a could make

 

I consider it a joke, its another one of those things where promised money has the ability to disappear before your eyes.
Want to make it real add it to the salary, give the driver a decent percentage at the end of orientation ( which is also a joke if your experienced), every 30 days there after not 2 years, that's there way of theeling you you wont make it two years, Also if they were to loose the contract, then your not doing that peticular dedicated account anymeor, guess what you no longer qualify because its tied to you staying on that account 2 years. And theres many more ways.
Bottom line just another dog n pony act.

 

Just do away with sign on bonuses. But then again with today's drivers they wouldn't look at an outfit without a sign on bonus..

Heading out tomorrow to the hotel and starting orientation on Tuesday. Feels good to start my adventure but I'm a little sad to be leaving home. First time being away for an extended period of time. Gonna miss the heck out of my pc set up as well. But I need to do this for myself.

 

It's tough. I remember going through that when I went to orientation as well. But this industry can be a very lucrative thing for you down the road. You can even be home every day and make six figures, if you get the right job. Just hang in there.
