In CT you have to watch out for the police. Had an attractive "doable" female jump up on my step at the pilot in Milford wanting to "borrow my radio".... NOPE!, had just heard on that same radio about an unmarked car pulling onto the lot. Letting her use my radio would make me an accessory. Besides, she was too well put together to be an actual prostitute in that area.

I used to sleep there sometimes in the 90s, it wasn’t bad. Exit 6, at the T/A you were asking for trouble.

I think most Drivers are aware of their surroundings, maybe s little too paranoid. If I’m approached while sitting in my Truck I usually shake my head NO.Otherwise it’s, Sorry man, I’m broke, stuck here, can’t get any money till tomorrow. Usually they then ask for a cigarette, cause they just gotta get something from you, for their time invested. Depending on how I feel, I may or may not give them one. No, I only have a few left. The one thing I’ve noticed, is down south, sometimes the beggar is clean cut, very polite, usually full of God Bless You and Praise the Lord. But for some reason he’s in a jam in the middle of nowhere, in the middle of the night. If they were Legit, they would call someone from Church I imagine. They have a great act. Very deceptive, Master Manipulaters, possible Serial Killers. Lol

I was in Phoenix PFJ a couple months ago and a group of people were walking between trucks at night looking for unlocked jockey boxes. One guy confronted them and they threatened him, until 6 of us walked over to even the odds. They scurried away into the dark like the rats they were.

The experiment you posted on page one is true in my experience. 10th grade i got jumped from behind and absolutely stomped by a stranger. I landed one in his throat before lights out but the circle of spectators included a pile of cowards i thought were friends.
Most of the neighborhoods ive lived in are worse than most truckstops for getting you stabbed or shot. The secret is your level of confidence. Does a pitbull look scared when another dog barks his challenge? If youre scared, bluff confidence. Your intimidation invites the dirtbag to proceed. When one party is strong and the other weak, you get war. When both are prepared for combat, the likely result is peace. You dont need a gun.. It will get you into more trouble than it gets you out of. Less risky and equally effective is advertising your ferocious will to survive. Bad neighborhoods have no police, but they still have law of the jungle. Coyotes and bobcats coexist but they eat everything less challenging right? Thats life in the hood. Show your fangs.Last edited: Jun 24, 2019

That’s true. I survived the east side of Detroit. The deadliest zip code in America nicknamed 4820die. I never had a problem. I used to catch a Bus at 300 am to go downtown working as a helper on a Produce Truck, when I was 15 yrs old. My first Driving job at 17 had first stop in Brewster projects. Others on Linwood street. Ground zero for the riots in the 60s. Went all over the city. Never had a problem, most people’s fears are overblown. Ironically the further from the threat, the more they fear it. I’m 55 now, and watch for becoming a target. My brother in law got rolled a few yrs back. Big bad Mike, ain’t so bad anymore!!! I’m glad he wasn’t hurt, but had to laugh, he didn’t think it was funny. Lmao, have you seen most of these guys with their sweatpants and flip flops with their soft, supple bodies. It's a mission for most of them to not look like a homosexual.
