04 379 just swapped a 6nz into it. Cruise worked before swap. Cat set parameters of ecm on new engine. Speedometer works, tach works, governor works so ecm is reading speed. High idle and cruise both do not work. No problems with jake brake so its not a clutch switch problem. I wouldn't think its a brake switch problem because it worked before swap. Where would I start looking for any problems?

I know CAT set up ECM but they may have left it off. Also check for power and ground at switches with a multimeter not a test light. Check all engine and harness grounds of course. With it being high idle and cruise it points to either brake switch or power/ground problem to switches or ECM. Cruise parameters in ECM could be too.

Try pulling flash codes, cruise off, then hold Accel or Resume for a second. If you get a flash code 55, then you know that the cruise switches are working. If not, then look at the switches and wiring.

Cruise and Jakes weren' working till I read this post. Tried pulling up on the clutch pettle and it has enough slop that it kicks cruise off. Guess I need to find the switch and adjust it.
