Sounds like you may have an internal issue. Does it matter if the clutch is in or out? If you push the clutch in and it starts then it's in the transmission.
-
Clutch in still the same. Could something from flywheel back out and be hitting?
-
Anything is possible, it's hard to diagnose over a computer of course. Was anything abnormal when it was running? Slow to build air, rattling in the engine? Anything at all? Did the starter engage in and out ok?

nothing abnormal. Ran fine and sounded as usual. Started does like it should. Wished I could upload a video. It’s a hard stop. I agree it’s not hydrolocked.
-
No water in oil and oil level hasn’t raised

Have you tried pulling the drain plug? Pull the plug and shove your finger in it, or have someone help you. Inspect the plug for metal, if it's clean shove it back in. Your really going to need to dig further into this then asking questions. Unfortunately

Yeah I know. It’s time for a inframe anyways so called and got some prices today.
-
I'm curious what'd they quote you? And what's the specs on the engine?
