I would not be so quick to brag about dodging any of those scales. Morgan Cty Sheriff's deputies will make traffic stops of trucks they see outside the normal routes, and have been to known to escort trucks to the scale (BTDT a couple of times). They have also been setting up the portables at random on a lot of those back roads. As for the I-25 scales, depends on the mood of the cops in the area when they spot a truck on some random road.

You know what guys, theres a solution for all this. Keep your trucks maintained and paperwork in order. I used to run across CO everyday and I never once had an issue. Sure it sucks getting inspected but those clean scores can actually get a sticker in windshield where dot wont waive you over. Each time you roll through they see your csa score. Sucks if you work for a dirty ### company, but o/os who keep their #### clean get rewarded.

If that doesn't work for you, the portable guys are never open after dark on us50, i specifically avoid I70 at all costs. US40 almost never has portables, whatever that road that goes through pagosa springs usually only has 1 cop on top of that grade (has a song named after it but #### if i remember its name) going into town warning you to slow down, and 5 cops usually watching that 25mph max grade. Also fort Morgan scales EB close at 7pm. WB is usually open. If going to durango, montrose, delta area... never take i70 past the exit before morgan scale. Just take backroads. Also, dont run morgan scales at log lane village exit.

Reason why you do a post trip and pre trip. Fix things before they become safety hazards.

    Eamac2004 Thanks this.
