    yes, improved fuel economy versus the purely EGR engines. I'll stick with pre-EGR until the statists come and try to force me to "upgrade" to a "cleaner" truck, then I'll just burn mine to the the ground...with a really smoky accelerant.

    How much does DEF cost?.. What you save in fuel, you spend on DEF?

    DEF i dont think has a price yet but I heard 2-3$ a gallon. but its basically the same chemical makeup of a trucker bomb.

    Yep DEF is made mostly from urea. Truckers throw bottles of the stuff out of their trucks all the time, and now they have to buy it back... oh the irony!
