I thought it referred to all trucks in the state too.

I think it does as well, there was mention of the it only applying to the ports in all of the research I have done.

As of now, the State of CA, does not have the money or the manpower to enforce the ruling. However, the DMV can. When the registration comes due, just like with personal vehicles, we will have to have a smog check certificate, that shows compliance to the schedule.

This will work with even trucks from out of state. When your apportionment sticker needs updating, same form, (download form from web site, and complete) will be required to get your authority to run in CA. Since there are chicken coops on every highway into the state, and a bunch tossed about in very inconvienient locations, the state will pay a big chunk of their debt with the revenues gleened from noncompliant trucks and companies who aren't "in tune" with the scam.

As for the imported freight sitting on the docks, I don't think CA really cares, they just want the money in fines levied. And for the poor souls who think maybe a truckers strike (like Europe did) will work. I don't think it will, just think of all the rookies driving for Swift, Werner, Schneider, JB Hunt, and so on and so on and so on. On top of the rookies driving right now, the schools are still cranking newbees out every day, so the number of work for pennies drivers keeps getting bigger. I don't think these penny drivers, will risk their job for a strike--even one day.

Do the other states in the US follow CAs lead on emissions???????
The reason I ask is because New Zealand follows the US on emissions only we are about 5 years behind (ACERTs/EGR started here last year)and I'm thinking where is this all going to end.

surely you are not suggesting that the American truckers don't have the backbone or the balls :biggrin_25523: to stand up for their rights like the Europeans will, oops I forgot American drivers have concluded that nothing can be done except to bend over and take it!! :bootyshake:

We have become sheeple. Believers in the scam of man caused Global Warming. Willing to fear government beaurocraps instead of insisting they fear us.
