Im doing a project around the house and need to move some dirt and rocks,i dont have a pick up truck and wanting to keep my cost to a minimum.
Local companies rent a 6000 lbs dump trailer for $90 a day which is perfect for what im doing.
Im thinking of installing a hitch ball on my tractor to pull this trailer and maybe a small boat trailer in the future. What else do i need to be legal and where do i get the parts?thank you

Electric brake controller unless the rental dump trailer has surge brakes. Four-way flat light plug or RV plug, whichever is on the dump trailer. Maybe some sort of rings to hook the safety chains. Be careful jacking around on non-paved surfaces filling your drive tires full of rocks, then bobtailing, so to speak, with your little dump trailer. You’ll be buying a new mirror. Or, if you’re really unlucky like I was once, you can throw a rock over the cab and then run into it with your windshield.

Rent a truck from Home Depot. Likely your least expensive option.
The ones around here do have the 7 way w/ a break controller.

Go to any good welder or trailer shop, done this a bunch of times. The brakes are the one thing to worry about, I went to an air over electric controller for the rv truck.

You won't need the trailer brakes for 6000 lbs, that's less than a trailer.
