don’t know if that’s a standard for that manufacturer, but none of our Quickdraws have that. When I push it all the way forward it’ll still cover a lot of the lower deck. I wish I could push it onto the upper... would make some of the crates I’ve done an easy day rather than having to back under the crate or having the forklift swing it onto the deck...
Neat. Hope that works good for ya, Jeff.cke, MartinFromBC and sirjeff Thank this. -
Thanks! Its working great so far. Not being used to having such effortless action back and forth, I already managed to pull the back section of the upper part of the kit right off the kick while pulling at the rear (didnt have the front locked).... it's almost spring loaded with the plastic flat bar inserts. Luckily I was able to get it back on track by myself. A guy really has to be diligent with "braking" the system as it likes to ROLLLLLLLLL. I've had to panic run a couple of times to catch it hahah. "Oh #### oh #### oh ####!!! Phew that was close"
The ability to roll it all on up top was an option. I briefly spoke to quickdraw in the early stages while trying to make up my mind on which kit to go with and he said the new quick draws will do it as well (optional of course)
It definitely makes loading and unloading long or big and tall crap easier. I'll often have 40,50,60 ft beams and it's certainly less hair raising with more of the deck open.
I need to modify the back flap to accommodate overlegnth stuff though. With my quick draw I would just roll it up and ride with the rear open. On the chameleon, there is a rib on the outer edges of the flap that lock in place with the hinged rear brackets. I figure I will cut the rib off in 1 foot sections so that I can roll with it partially open while still having a tight seal on the closed portion (as to not have the hinged rear flap locks flapping in the wind or pinching the closed portion of the flap unnaturally) If that makes any sense lolLast edited: Jun 28, 2019

I think there’s a wire in that rib..rank, cke, stwik and 1 other person Thank this. -

That’s an absolutely beautiful trailer. I would love to have an all aluminum spread axle version. I don’t believe the freight around me and general load board freight would make it worth the extra cost. Still very jealous.
Just remember to never turn while the thing is open, I can see the drive tires shred the extension rails and tarp.sirjeff Thanks this. -
Two company units were trashed by doing just that. Despite being repaired they have never been the same. -
