Building a deck is not that difficult. You can go to almost any of the big box home stores and have a complete package made. The store has a software package that will do all the work. Just need to decide on what materials you want.

Picked up a new trainee today. Parked at the TA in Barstow waiting for my clock to reset so I can take over.
Headed to Loveland, Colorado at $0.34 per mile. Don’t be jealous...not everyone can make money like this.

@Zoltan1a you get on a truck yet?Lepton1, D.Tibbitt, lovesthedrive and 1 other person Thank this. -
That's a solid salad. I took a course in nutrition years ago at a community college somewhere. A lot of what I learned came down to ensuring you get the most diverse assortment of vitamins from veggies as possible by creating colorful salads. The color had something to do with the dominant type of water-soluble vitamin in whatever veggie you are looking at. I don't remember all the specifics, I wasn't a very bright kid. I did my report on Biotin, something that helps your fingernails and hair. And also that you ate said assortments daily, or as much as possible. So you could eat the heathiest proportions and get everything you needed by mostly leafy greens, some reds, orange, and tan/white picks.
Reds: Red bill peppers, peppers, radish, tomato
Orange: Peppers, orange bill peppers, squash, carrots
Leafy Greens: Mostly spinach and broccoli. Nothing else needed.
White/tan: Cauliflower, by far the best veggie. Somewhat lacking from what I read in some of the essential vitamins, but still a worthy injestee. Nothing better than some Cauliflower with a bit of ranch.Last edited: Jun 29, 2019

That's almost exactly what mine is constructed of including cucumbers, mushrooms, and purple onion.
I like purple onion cause it's not only a veggie that will increase your testosterone, it's what us commoners use.
The OM knows about these things.Lepton1, Cattleman84, TravR1 and 2 others Thank this. -
I think it's unfair I have to get up this early due to the OM'S scheduling.

Well the story of Corky went along the lines of..........
Rich is one of those people we all know whom has too much money and not enough brains to go around. He bought a mobile home. Then felt he needed a garage. Alas his garage is bigger than the home. He had a contractor build a barn instead of a garage at 40x60. At any rate Corky wanted a porch to increase the curb appeal of his mobile home. So he contacted a local contractor asking what he needed to do to build his own deck. The contractor said to use 2x6 for the frame and keep the joists 16" on center. Deck it over with 5/4 pressure treated wood. With 4x4 posts every 4 feet.
So Corky starts building a 40 foot long deck. He then contacts the contractor that he needs help with the deck. The contractor arrives and doesnt see a deck, tho there is a large pile of saw dust and LOTS of wood scraps. The contractor asks about the scraps and Corky responds yeah thats the problem. How do I attach it? Seems that Corky didnt build it next to the home. Instead he built it in his barn.
Now for the funny part. Corky decided that 2x6 was too small. So he built it out of 2x12! He didnt like the looks of 16" on center so he did it at 12" on center. He decked it over in 5/4 (pronounced five quarter). He didnt feel the 4x4 posts were strong enough and put 8x8'x on 2 foot centers. He didnt like the looks of the 5/4 and covered it with 3/4 plywood. Then he didnt like the looks of the ply wood so he put boarden board across the top of the plywood. Long story short he made that deck weigh 6 ton with extra decking! The deck was about a foot thick.
The reasons the locals called him Corky? He worked at the local Radio Shack. If he didnt know the answer he would respond "Oh yeah....". Anything there after was BS. Of which the locals would say "put a cork in it".
As you can see his double wide now has a deck around it. No idea what happened to the monstrosity that was in the barn.
