The ice roads in the Northwest Territories are speed limited to 15km per hour (about 8mph) when loaded and 30km per hour (about 18mph) . This is so a wave doesn't build up in front of the truck blow the ice at the Portages. Trucks are req'd to stick with a partner truck and you are NOT allowed to leave them. Here is a link with a few details.

I love that kind of stuff. Probably something I should have done when I was younger. I used to love cold weather. Now when it gets cold my body hurts in places I never knew I had when I was a young buck.

I was talking to a person from canada last year and he gave me his phone number but i lost it and I would jump at it in a heart beat to drive on that ice like
Just me and my wife that would be Great and peaceful and i could turn on the CB and not hear it cluttered up with Foul language -
I hope that you Southern Yankees don't think that this picture was taken in August.

It was probably taken in January and a way up North somewhere, or accross a lake. But, it make it look like we Canadians are all eskimo's and living in Igloos.:smt100

Anybody wants to sign up for it? I know a company looking for guys to do it. I would be there in a heartbeat if I hadnt just signed on with a new outfit.
