My goodness. We don't get a lot of that down here in Dixie. If we do, we just stay home.
I've only been stuck on the ice one time. And that was just outside of Selma Alabama.
Then I went home.

When I moved back east to the mother land 16 years ago, some of, well lots of, the elders would come by. We have a HUGE family, Dad had 14 siblings, and they all said the same thing, "This golden years stuff is for the birds."
Cattleman84, InTooDeep and tramm01 Thank this. -

I got parked at a warehouse in Indianapolis with only a minute left after driving since Nebraska somewhere, used up every last minute on my clock.
Not boasting, it was merely luck. I thought I would arrive with about a half an hour left. And when I saw that Loves in Whitestown IN come into view, I decided to just drive until I get there because I knew there would be no reasonable parking at that hour.
I was in Colorado on that stretch between Denver and Grand Junction. I drove that stretch two weeks ago and it was snowing up there.Cattleman84, tramm01 and Dave_in_AZ Thank this. -
It was close. Ran at about 70 the last 20 miles due to an unexpected 15 mile 45mph construction zone.
I didn't even know Casper would go that fast.Cattleman84, lovesthedrive, InTooDeep and 2 others Thank this. -
The worst part of when it snows down south is they usually get freezing rain which makes a layer of slick as Hell ice and then a dusting of snow which makes the roads as slick as the snot on a one eyed coon dog’s nose and then they have to listen to the goobers up north who only get snow and no ice, snow has a lot more traction than slick solid ice does and they have to listen to how those there southerners don’t know how to drive in snow bs.sealevel, Cattleman84, skellr and 1 other person Thank this.

I just parked at the pilot in Grand Junction with 2 hours and 19 minutes left.
Best that!
I can’t deliver the load till after midnight and have until the end of the day tomorrow to drop it. Didn’t feel like trying to find parking there. My new trainee is exhausted. I’ll let him get some sleep and have him watching Vail Pass.Lepton1, Cattleman84, LoSt_AgAiN and 4 others Thank this. -
