About the time one thinks they have it all figured out, especially when it comes to what's going to happen in a year down the road, let alone tomorrow, that's when you get bit right in the ole pucker hole.

 

I have a 2014 KW T680 ISX15 10sp 230in wb with 500k on it. 125k since fully overhauled.

And another sister truck with 530k on it and never rebuilt.

I’ve bought 10 used trucks in the last 10 yrs and gonna be 4 new in last 2 years. Used trucks did me well but at this stage in my business I’m finding buying new to make the most sense for me personally.

 

1 got a 2016 Coronado Glider 233k miles. Thermo King APU . 12.7 Detroit Factory Motor. Not a Fitz motor 10speed New Michelin Virgin Rubber all around. For 90K I avg 7.7 mpg pulling reefer

 

You are fixed for the long haul, no pun intended. That’s my dream truck.

I’m getting almost 8 mpg out of my Volvo and it’s been very reliable but it’s no glider. If only someone would figure out Volvo Gliders. Give me an N14 and I’d drive it forever.

 

I got 8.2. 8.5 based on odometer last summer did a required overhead for warranty now im 7.7 on good day. Gonna go back redue from a 12.7 old school mech next time . No more out of diesel school mechs for me after this
