I've never had any of those issues. Look 'em up in the directory (remember those? Every hotel chain had 'em listing every location by city along with a rundown of ammenities)...or look them up with a POI search on my Garmin, then call ahead...and eventually when I got my 1st smart phone, just look 'em up online. Usually had a pretty good idea where I was wanting to end up, and would look while being loaded or unloaded at my last stop for the day. Parking was just a matter of skills...never personally had a problem with that aspect.
Oversized loads specialized stay in hotel?

Not too long ago I parked at the rest area is Coso Junction, CA. and woke up in the middle of the night with a little bit of CO2 poisoning.
I had the vent open near my head sleeping soundly with the fan drawing in cool air. An old couple had dusted off their 30 year old RV and were running the gas genny a few feet from my head.. I found out minutes from death.. the exhaust pipe was lined up perfectly with my vent, sucking in the fumes of old rotten gas from the never serviced generator.
It was the sputtering sound that woke me from a weird dream of driving an old car that would not speed up or slow down. I was fighting the ancient vehicle for control when I awoke suddenly and within a few seconds realized I was being poisoined by two old ######## without a clue that should be in a rest home instead of killing me with fumes. -
There are no protections against bed bugs based on the company or property. You are just as likely to get a bite in a 5-star hotel as you will in a Motel 6. Until you have been through a bed bug infestation and the removal process you won't understand how they spread. Someone that has bed bugs in their home can pack a suitcase and go stay in a 5-star hotel and bring bed bugs to that hotel. Normal cleaning WILL NOT rid the room of them and they will burrow into the wood and into the mattress. My baby sister got a baby crib at a yard sale a few years ago that had a nest of them in it. She took it home and had to have 4 cleanings to get rid of them. Had to destroy ALL of her bedding and most of the wood furniture in her house. All totaled that crib cost her and her husband almost $10,000.

When I stay at ANY hotel I wrap all my things in a plastic bag AND use that metal storage area.

Your chances are way better of catching bed bugs in a cheap, poorly maintained, run down #### hole. Also as a trucker you should be making enough money to afford $100 a night room and not have to stay in a flea bag motel. Besides customers of that price point are more likely to shower daily, wash their clothes regularly, and are typically of a higher class.
Excuse me if i don’t want rent a room some schmuck and his 8 illegitimate children lived in for the last 3 weeks. Oh & i don’t wanna trip over *******’s bbq grill as he cooks his dinner on my way into my room.
