You can get hired. Check with Chinatown, he can help you.
If that doesn't work, get someone to say you worked for them. I did it for a friend he was having trouble finding a job.
    Good luck

@MACK E-6 can you merge this thread with the same one he posted in "Questions from new drivers"? Exact same post...

    MACK E-6 Thanks this.

Sorry. It was my first time posting. Didn't realize what an active site this is. Wanted to make sure it was seen to increase my chances of a response. Will be more specific next time! Thanks.

My bad. I was thinking why would someone work for Knight/Swift unless they need to get their CDL.

    Jwhis and COBB2070 Thank this.

No problem. I'm a bit OCD myself.... and it turned out to be 3 different threads. The first one didn't have any responses.

Don't worry too much about it. The staff fixes that stuff on a regular basis. Easy fix for us.

Also want to point out, @COBB2070 nor anyone else reported it. I was already reading through the threads.

MACK E-6 and COBB2070 Thank this.

The FMCSA/DOT requires the trucking company verify your past employment. I think they are required to verify the last 3 years of non-DOT employer work and 10 years of your last DOT employer background.

Several things in your posts suggests to me you are not doing much research before making decisions. If that is true/continues you are going to be working for worse and worse companies with worse and worse conditions. Some companies are not as picky as others. Just like you can decide where to live and what to eat, trucking companies can choose which drivers to hire. The FMCSA/DOT set the minimum requirements to hire a driver, but companies are free to be more picky than the govt minimum.

Knight hires somewhere in the neighborhood of a thousand or more drivers every year. There is a reason they cannot keep enough drivers. Other comanies will hire you. Prospective students/newbies need to FIRST find a company that thay want to work for, and SECOND go to CDL school. Not to follow this advice is like pulling the pin on a hand granade and then looking around to decide where to throw it.
