I mean What If I was posted up here in a company truck, no food, no water, no APU. Just an e log.

I often ask myself in these situations, "What would tucker do? "

Think of all of the malaria, E boli, HIV, and all manner of other horrible diseases you've prevented.
    You deserve proper recognition.
And so, I hereby recognize you. Sorta

    <RANT ON>

    #### loves.

Rotten egg smell from my batteries. Obvious what it is. I call breakdown. Then have me leave the Petro I’m at (Johnson’s corner) to go to Loves that has a repair shop.

Now I’m not completely brain dead so I get permission to drop my trailer.

I get to Loves to be told the mechanic leaves at 5pm. 5pm? What kind of rinky dink ######## truck stop is this?

So I turn around and head back to Petro.

I booked an appointment with them for 7:30am which was as soon as I can get in.

I call breakdown back and they get me a 6am appointment at the TA in Commerce, Co.

    “Hi!! Welcomes to Loves!”
    Ya?
How about you sell me a gladiator helmet and ####ing samurai sword and can you fix my truck as the same time? No? #### you.

The division I was in did mostly the small venues.
So clubs, theaters and places like that, not the big stadiums. We could go to them, and often did when I could. Most often each team would do one act for the area. When Donald Kinsey did a west cost tour leg, we did all his shows in California. Same for Talking Heads and Pat Metheny and several others.
Getting to meet the acts, not really. Your a bit busy, so it’s more like “hey guys please say hello to (insert name).
Then usually at the end of the show, it like “ thanks guys, great show, really. Then we break down and load out.

T/A in commerce is going to take a while.
Why didn’t the set you up with Transwest,
They are just down the road from your location.
All that’s needed is new batteries and a charging system test, right.

Should have went and bought new batteries and replaced them yourself... Only requires a 9/16 wrench... Write it down as a cash expense and get reimbursed... Easier, faster, and cheaper for company.

And charging system can be checked with a cheap multi meter.

I’ve got both on the truck...I think the problem though is the liability. I’m not sticking my neck out. If it were my truck I’d replace all the batteries and give the alternator a proper load test.

And you were not hired to be a mechanic so have no way to charge the company for your "On-Duty" time while working on the truck. Cause truck maintenance/Repairs (even washing and polishing) should be logged "on-duty".
