The way fl works is a refusal and a dui arrest are 2 charges. They both were dismissed or should I say lowered to a reckless. Unfortunately Florida also suspended my license for the refusal administrativly. So that's gonna show in my mvr. The dui was the charge lowered to reckless. I wish I could report here differently. That's how it goes in my case. If I hired someone more expensive that was banging the da or something, maybe a better outcome. Lol

I appreciate you reply. I have been an auto painter for 18 yearsuo to now. I've been wanting to drive truck for years. My dad has been doing it for 40 years now. And I've always wanted to. My daughter just turned 18 and now I have the freedom.
I have made over 100k 3 times in the last 5 years painting cars, as a commission collision painter, but need a change. Money doesn't make everyone happy. I know I made a mista

That looks more like a PSP report than a DAC.

Hi. Just to reply what I mentioned on the 75 year thing, I found this online and it's also what I was told by the DMV so it looks like the suspension will follow me forever. I don't think every state is this tough but apparently Florida is. :(

Insurance drives a lot of the trucking industry.

Truck insurers have been doing this for a long time and the minimum amount of time for anything related to a DUI/DWI is 5 years from almost every insurance carrier I've dealt with.

The one that wasn't 5 years wanted ten years instead.

Some companies differentiate the severity of violations...homicide by auto, leaving the scene, speeding more than 15 over, and reckless driving are all big hitters.

Unfortunately the OP has a lot of 'wrong' on his MVR and it keeps him from being accepted by the insurance standard that a lot of carriers follow JUST to HAVE insurance.

1099 companies, local dump and logging, even bedbuggin' in addition to the known 2nd chance companies and self insured megas will eventually put you to work.

I've never questioned the source of qualifying experience when checking out a potential hire...insurance said 'yes' with confirmation of 2 years previous experience....2 years is 2 years...

Thanks for your reply. I'm am still waiting on hire right to get back with me on fixing my mvr. DMV claims they are reporting it incorrectly. With that said, I've heard a few people mention 1099 companies. why would they be able to insure me when other can't / won't? Also I have looked at jobs on my local cl and the 1099 ones seem to want a certain amount of experience. I have the double whammy because I'm brand new and have this mvr thing on my record. So I'd need a company to get me on and train me. I had a sure thing with Western but they have since put me on the back burner for now. Clearly opening up a dispute with hire right now makes my mvr not visible and Western can't hire me til dispute is done. At least with hire right which is the company most of these big companies use.

1099 means you pay our dearly beloved Uncle Sam Taxes every three months. Short, over, too little or whatever they come after you.
